ABOUT US

AMI-Press (formerly the Assyrian Media Institute) was founded on 24 September 2011 as a non-profit association dedicated to journalism. Its primary role is to operate Assyria TV, an online television channel that covers current affairs, produces interviews and live broadcasts, and distributes media content. AMI-Press is an independent news organisation registered in Sweden.

Assyria TV is autonomous and independent of Assyrian organisations and institutions. This independence enables the channel to fulfil one of its most important responsibilities: scrutinising organisations and individuals who influence decisions affecting Assyrians.

Assyria TV strives to cover all issues affecting the Assyrian nation, both internal and external. The channel’s mission is to share information and knowledge, scrutinise those in positions of influence, and stimulate debate.

Assyria TV aims to offer a range of programmes that reflect diversity, provide space for different opinions, and promote cooperation within the Assyrian community on matters of common concern.

Assyria TV’s programming should reflect democratic and humanistic values, a commitment to public education, diversity, and quality. Issues and perspectives should be presented factually and impartially.
